Going too far? by HMX

As a pet owner, I understand the desire of being able to take your pet with you on vacations or on cross-country moves where you plan to do as little driving as possible. Having purchased my own pet from OK, several states away, I also understand how hard on the pet a plane ride can be, no matter how short, but do we really need a separate airline for pets? The people at Pet Airways seem to believe so, and with an introductory rate of $150 for a one-way flight, they are doing better than those other airlines that cater to those of the hairless ape variety.

You are currently limited to dogs and cats and the list of destinations number 5, but I’m sure that more will be added after the initial run, to start in July, proves successful. Then we can look forward to shipping reptiles, pigs, birds or other unclassified (as yet) pets such as the feinting goats that Blythe goes all gaga over. If you live in New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago or the Baltimore/DC area and have plans to visit one of the other aforementioned cities, you should check out their services and leave feedback. I really would like to see this work with coverage expanded from Seattle to Portland, ME and Nashville, TN or Louisville, KY. That would make for one very happy Alchemist.
